A little love time from the second edition of Vulva La Vida. I miss that day.
this zine is memories of a not behaved vulva and it was done by me (carla) and íris. it’s a memoru zine from vulva la vida and it was out at the second edition of the festival, this year.
it’s a not official publication and it’s all about write the herstory of the festival. jadsa, for example, wrote about her motivations to make a video cover of tegan and sara to help promote the first edition of the festival. she did it by herlself and as an surprise to the collective itself.
that and other things, some collages. if anyone wants a copy can write to carladuarteee [at] gmail dot com or leave a message or whatever.

Hi everyone!
I’m didnt give up blogging about VLV. It’s just lots of shit to deal with and we don’t have much pictures of grrrls/folks/babes wearing the VLV t shirt anymore. But one nice thing that happened it was that the zine Girl Germs from Ireland made a short interview with Vulva la Vida:
Vulva la Vida (VLV) is a feminist DIY festival from Salvador (Bahia - Brazil). Its aims are: to take back the mics, the books, the voice, the tecnology and build now the society we would like to live in. VLV wants to change the micropolitics and daily life, questioning sexism, racism, lesbo/homo/transphobia within our community and subjectivity.
We think it’s important to bring women closer together but it’s also important to understand the power dynamics runned between women (and others non-normative identities). Consequently, there isn’t a natural sisterhood!
We want to have fun and destroy patriarchy!
Besides the festival, we (VLV organizers) make other events along the years, like shows, street interventions, feminist’s cinema and others. There are a lot of different feminisms and we want to strengthen a radical feminism based on the understanding of the complexity of power relations in our society.
That’s it. If you have a picture of yourself wearing a VLV tshirt you cand send to carladuarteee@gmail.com
Bye!

Back to our tshirts pictures. The one with VLV tshirt is awesome Gabriela and me holding a solder and an opened computer. She made a workshop in VLV 12 about funk, feminism and subversion.
She fixes computers and she knows all about eletric and eletronic, has a degree in History, research about anarcha feminism and does rolamento. As we can see there’s a nerd pride going on. Fuck yeah fixing your own shit.
Oh yeah for those that want to wear a VLV tshirt so bad order here: vulvalavida@gmail.com
Bye,
C.
