Vulva La Vida |
Feminist Collective from Salvador - Bahia - Brazil. Bringing politics of gender back to D.I.Y while listening to Bikini Kill, Cólera and Bulimia. |
1st basic workshop of vegan food of Vulva La Vida Collective - Salvador - BA - Brazil.
This was last sunday when VLV Collective organized a workshop about basic vegan food. Its one of the aspects of Vulva La Vida: bringing veganism into feminism to link its oppressions and think in a feminist-vegan way.
This was II Feminic (vegan picnic closed for cis gender males) last sunday in Salvador. Pandora (from Rio de Janeiro) went to make a woirkshop about consent and release her zine on the subject.
Just an apreciation post with our Nivia and Aretha. Another picture from the Feminic, last sunday, at Cristo da Barra - Salvador - Brazil.
This was the Feminic (girls only vegan picnic) organized by Vulva La Vida Collective last sunday.
They’re meaning to talk about veganism and make workshops for vegetarian girls that are trying to be vegan, that way connecting the linked opressions that woman and animals had lived. A feminist vegan gotta be.

This is the first event that Vulva La Vida is making for the second semester. It’s a femme-nic, a picnic for and by grrrls, ladies and folks so they can talk and eat great vegan food.
If you’re in Salvador you should just go and take your vegan food.
A little love time from the second edition of Vulva La Vida. I miss that day.
Fucking D.I.Y material produced by the collective to raise money to keep on keep on living and making the finest feminist festival around.
We do have some items left, so, if you want to buy something, trade or just talk you can write to vulvalavida@gmail.com
For those that read in portuguese there’s a first review of the festival at Avessa.org, written by Camila Puni.
After the last day of Vulva la Vida first festival, january, 23th, 2011 that took place in Salvador, Bahia.
The festival received girls from different parts of Brazil and helped to show a new face of brazilian’s riot grrrl/feminist punk mostly constituted by northeast girls. I’m saying this because the punk, hardcore and riot grrrl scene of Brazil can be known mostly by bands from cities in south and shouth-east, like São Paulo, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro and Brasília.
Vulva la Vida shows that the northeast is radly represented and that are lots of places in Brazil that have riot grrrl, punk, hardcore scene.
